Baby singer Justin Bieber is a talented lad who had variously been described as an upstart, wannabe Elvis, wannabe Michael Jackson etc. Wannabe Elvis? That is asking for too much, may be. Even so, to be fair to him, it is not he who had suggested it but some of his fanatic followers that did it. The reaction to this casual remark unleashed a storm all over the Net, the fanatics of another era jumping into the ring and throwing the gauntlet at whoever was in sight to challenge them to even utter Elvis name along with that of Justin in the same breath. Justin, perhaps too young to fully feel the intensity of the Elvis aficionados, just let it pass and that is wise of him.
He is usually that patient. He is being consciously careful not to step on the media’s toes. However, this incident involving a camerawoman showed a surprising reaction from Justin, coming as it does from a level-headed young man. Well, we will not grudge him that, given the tremendous pressure he is under.
That Justin Beiber is pally-pally with the New York born actress and singer Selina Maria Gomez is old hat and the discerning reporters can espy them together. Celebrity gossip is that the couple was on a trip to a 7-11. When an unsuspecting Justin saw a woman with a camera coming close to him and Selina, he pushed the camera. This has been variously described as attacking the camera woman and merely pushing the camera. The footage clearly shows his focus was mainly on the camera and not the woman.
Coming as it does on the heels of another incident in which Justin flipped the bird at some paparazzi, this latest news has triggered speculation about Justin needing rehab. Come on people, let us allow the boy some liberty to have his quota of tantrums!
