One of the questions I get asked a lot is "What's this Social stuff all about?" It's a valid question but one that has a big answer because the number of sites related to some aspect of social bookmarking has literally exploded over the last year or so! Today I will cover social "bookmarking". Let's start with a short video I found on YouTube that explains it nicely. If you learn visually or aurally, this is a good way to learn it. Getting information into the hands of those who need it is a crucial part of anyone's business. I can't tell you how many times I have had people grinch to me about how they can't open "X" type of file that someone has sent them (usually a program they have on their computer but in a different version). Most people only upgrade software when it has benefits they can use to justify the expense, so you'll have people with Microsoft Works sending documents out, or Office 2003 documents out to folks with Office 97. |

Launchy is a handy little freeware program that falls under the category of Windows Application Launcher. Launchy makes it much easier to run applications than having to navigate through your START menu on a Windows machine. Installation is a snap and takes maybe 2 minutes from download to ready for use. |
